Carole Hamburger
 Author-Illustrator of...

...Tales for All Ages and All of Life's Stages
Yes,Hamburger is my real (maiden) name...

I was born in Brookline, Massachusetts, and have been writing poetry since third grade. When working in Nantucket (one of the many summer jobs that got me through college) I met my husband, Carl. And while raising two terrific sons, I got an M. Ed. in Guidance and Counseling, taught K-8 for thirty-six years in Philadelphia, and dreamed of one day writing a Book.

Finally, in 2005, The Star Pupil: A Dot's Quest to Find His Place in the World, was born. This book has been embraced by All Ages, propelling me to create The Dot Family Series. The Star Pupil's sister, The Zippity-Do-Dot, arrived in February, 2008.

A third dot-child (a brother) will arrive in early 2012. This third tale will incorporate the first
two tales, and weave a tale of Triumph over Adversity....ending with the best Love Story ever!!

I love the creative process, and equally enjoy sharing my titles and related topics to students, educators, and the general public.

I have spoken and signed at over 50 Barnes and Noble stores for ‘Teacher Appreciation Events'... and been a visiting author in several states across the country.

In addition I have presented and signed at the following conferences...

New Jersey Association for Gifted Children
Montclair State University Program for Gifted Children
Texas Library Association
Massachusetts School Library Association
